Nolita Cacao

Nolita Cacao is a Mumbai-based luxury artisan chocolate brand founded by Shraddha Vichare. Built on European chocolatier traditions reimagined through an Indian craft lens, Nolita produces preservative-free, small-batch chocolates -- bonbons, truffles, bars, liquor-infused collections, and gourmet desserts -- for a discerning consumer that treats chocolate as an experience, not a commodity. The brand's positioning sits firmly at the premium end: think corporate gifting for luxury hotel chains, not supermarket shelves. When Nolita came to TSL, the product quality and founder vision were already in place. What was missing was the brand infrastructure, digital presence, and marketing system needed to communicate that quality and convert it into commercial traction.

Nolita faced the challenge common to premium artisan brands entering a market that does not yet have a well-defined luxury chocolate category: the product is excellent, but without a brand system, a visual identity, and a structured digital presence, it reads as just another homemade chocolate business. The brand needed to be built -- visually, strategically, and commercially -- from near-zero.

Their specific objectives were:

  • Build a complete brand identity system: visual language, brand book, tone of voice, and packaging direction
  • Develop a content strategy and social media presence that communicated luxury, craft, and provenance consistently
  • Build and launch a D2C website with a structured product catalogue and ecommerce capability
  • Set up and run paid media on Meta and Google to drive awareness and direct sales
  • Establish an influencer and PR programme targeting luxury food, lifestyle, and gifting audiences
  • Develop a D2C pricing architecture that supported healthy margins across all product categories

TSL took on a full brand-to-market mandate for Nolita Cacao -- spanning brand identity, content, website, performance marketing, influencer outreach, and commercial strategy -- structured as a phased eight-week rollout.

Brand Identity and Brand Book

  • Built Nolita Cacao's complete visual identity from scratch -- color palette anchored in rich cocoa browns, muted autumnal pastels, and gold accents; typography system using Jedira and Aloe Vera Display; logo usage and misuse guidelines; and a comprehensive brand book governing all visual and communication applications
  • Established a brand voice built around elegance, restraint, and sensory storytelling -- no aggressive sales language, no generic food brand copy; every line written to position Nolita as a luxury experience, not a product

Content Strategy and Social Media

  • Developed a 14-bucket content architecture covering: luxury chocolate experience, founder story, behind-the-scenes craft, product USPs, unboxing and packaging, influencer and celebrity collaborations, exclusive tastings and events, gifting and corporate positioning, festive and seasonal campaigns, limited edition drops, and community engagement
  • Built and executed a monthly content calendar from June 2025, covering reels, carousels, and static posts -- each piece written with editorial-level copy aligned to the brand's luxury tone
  • Anchored the flagship campaign around #TheNolitaExperience -- a luxury-driven content and activation campaign designed to establish Nolita as India's leading artisan chocolatier across social, influencer, and experiential channels

D2C Pricing and Product Architecture

  • Built a comprehensive D2C pricing model across all product categories -- liquor-infused chocolates, bonbons, truffles, pralines, ganaches, and gifting hampers -- structured across box sizes (6, 8, and 12 pieces) with ingredient cost, labour, packaging, logistics, and marketing factored into a 75% target margin framework
  • Developed consumer-facing product naming and one-line descriptions for the full range, translating technical product names into aspirational, giftable identities (Whiskey Melt, Rum Roast Noir, Gin Blossoms, Baileys Bliss)

Website and Ecommerce

  • Led the development of Nolita's D2C website, structured to support seamless product discovery, gifting journeys, and direct purchase across the full product range
  • Built with luxury UX principles -- high-end minimalistic design, product storytelling on landing pages, and a visual language consistent with the brand book

Performance Marketing and Influencer Programme

  • Set up and launched Meta and Google ad campaigns targeting premium consumer segments -- luxury gifting buyers, corporate procurement, and gourmet lifestyle audiences in Tier 1 cities
  • Developed an influencer gifting and partnership programme targeting luxury food bloggers, sommeliers, and lifestyle content creators, structured to drive both aspirational awareness and direct purchase intent
  • Delivered a complete brand identity system -- brand book, visual guidelines, packaging direction, and tone of voice -- giving Nolita Cacao the infrastructure to present as a credible luxury brand across all channels
  • Built and activated a structured content presence across Instagram and other platforms from mid-2025, with a monthly calendar and 14-bucket content architecture sustaining consistent, on-brand output
  • Launched a D2C pricing architecture across 50+ product SKUs, enabling Nolita to go to market with a commercially viable, margin-positive product range
  • Established #TheNolitaExperience as the brand's flagship campaign platform, anchoring social, influencer, and event activations around a unified brand story
